14 sept 2004 - a mini note number to frequency in Hz converter, no sound.
21 sept 2004 - random lines drawn on a canvas, no sound.
*28 sept 2004 - random fm synthesis sounds, click go to get a new random parameter combination.
*05 oct 2004 - a very basic polyrhythmic sequence exercise, with source code.
*26 oct 2004 - an simple JMSL musicShape exercise. Press go and hear 100 notes with in the time specificied. You can keep clicking to get more and more notes until your cpu is pushed to the limit. for goofy good fun set to a long duration like 1000 sec, and click many, like 100 times..
*09 nov 2004 - my very buggy first attemp to make meaninful musical sounds with JSyn/JMSL. I explore the textures available using only a squarewave oscilators and a lowpass filters.
*FinalProject - In this piece I explore the musical sound combinations and permutations made available with four distinct voices. A low bass drone, a filtered pulse oscillator in stereo, a ring modulated and filtered lookup table oscillator, whose table is filled with random values, and a narrow band passed pink noise generator. These voices each produce interesting sounds on their own but, I find them most exciting when sounded in parallel and/or series. This applet calls each sound in a random sequence, and passes random values to the synthesis objects. Eventually, I would like to compose deterministic pieces using these four voices, but for now I am satisfied with the indeterminant structure the random sequence generators afford. Source code is available for download.
