-observation of real guitar playing (metal/rock):: PaLM_MUting!!!! Dangit my first sketch did not address one of the most important control parameters for playing metal, that is the envelope and timbre control afforded by pressing the outside heel of the palm gently against the strings just ahead of the bridge. Check out this recording of one chord played with full palm muting, half palm muting and no muting PalmMutingExample.mp3
